My favorite boy band
The band was formed in 2013, at the initiative of Jos Canela, who encouraged his friend Alonso Villalpando to join. While searching for members for the group, Jos thought of a friend he had met at a 30 Seconds to Mars concert; Alan Navarro. The latter accepted the invitation and recommended his cousin Freddy Leyva to join the group. Actor William Valdés eventually joined. They decided to call the band "CD9" (short for "Code 9"). Their first appearances were at the first MTV Millennial Awards and the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Mexico.

The band's new album, "1.0," is the final release of their previous albums ".5" and "¾." Produced by Andy Clay and Icon, the album featured collaborations with several composers such as Edgar Barrera, Rolo, Feid, and Mosty. "1.0" features 18 tracks, including "Prohibido," "Oxígeno," and "Un beso." The band recently announced their new tour, titled Modo Avión Tour, which will kick off on January 12th at the Auditorio Nacional and continue to other parts of Mexico. The tour will feature their EP, ".5," and their new EP, "¾ (Tres Cuartos).

On May 20, 2019, following several rumors, Jos Canela released a statement on his Twitter account confirming his departure from the band.
Some time later, Freddy Leyva confirmed his departure from the band through the media. Thus, only three members remain in the band.
